Description

Delicious Twix Cookies combining cookie dough, caramel, and milk chocolate for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 large Egg Yolk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/4 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 16 ounces Caramel Dip (may have extra)
  • 3/4 cup Milk Chocolate
  • 1 cup Twix Candy Bars (chopped)


Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter and sugar for about 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix for 1 more minute until fully combined.
  3. Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt until no dry flour remains.
  4. Shape dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 to 1/3 inch thick and cut out circles.
  6. Place cookie circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 8-9 minutes until slightly golden on the edges.
  7. Cool cookies on a wire rack.
  8. Spread a thick layer of caramel dip on each cookie.
  9. Melt milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and spread over the caramel layer on each cookie.
  10. Refrigerate cookies for about 10 minutes to harden the chocolate before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is softened, not melted. Don’t overmix the dough to keep cookies tender.
