Description

A quick and easy treat made with chocolate and peanut butter, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings without turning on the oven.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Butter (salted)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup Milk (whole or 2% preferred)
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter (Jif or Skippy’s)
  • 2 3/4 cups Quick Oats (up to 3 cups)


Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients, measure, and set aside. Line a baking sheet or countertop with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a medium saucepan over low heat and add butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and milk. Stir to melt the butter and smooth out any lumps.
  3. Increase the heat to medium and stir constantly until the mixture begins to bubble.
  4. Boil for exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and peanut butter until smooth.
  6. Mix in quick oats until fully coated.
  7. Quickly drop spoonfuls onto parchment paper and let them set.
  8. Allow cookies to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes or refrigerate for 15 minutes for quicker setting.

Notes

For variations, try adding chocolate chips, substituting peanut butter with almond butter, or mixing in dried fruit.
