- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 10-ounce bag Cinnamon Chips (reserve 2 tablespoons for topping)
- For the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the softened butter and sugar together until fluffy, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix for 1-2 minutes until combined.
- Gradually stir in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold in 1 cup of cinnamon chips and set aside the remaining for topping.
- Mix together sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl for coating.
- Wrap cookie dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
- Roll chilled dough into small balls and coat in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Press the center of each dough ball for flatter cookies.
- Arrange cookie balls on a baking sheet and press reserved cinnamon chips on top.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with milk or coffee. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
