Description

Delicious and comforting Cinnamon Chip Cookies, perfect for cozy evenings and easy to make for beginners.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 10-ounce bag Cinnamon Chips (reserve 2 tablespoons for topping)
  • For the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until fluffy, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; mix for 1-2 minutes until combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Fold in 1 cup of cinnamon chips and set aside the remaining for topping.
  6. Mix together sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl for coating.
  7. Wrap cookie dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Roll chilled dough into small balls and coat in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Press the center of each dough ball for flatter cookies.
  10. Arrange cookie balls on a baking sheet and press reserved cinnamon chips on top.
  11. Bake for 9-11 minutes until lightly golden.
  12. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with milk or coffee. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
