- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar

- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 12 Tablespoons Salted Butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (for frosting)
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
- 3 to 4 Tablespoons Heavy Cream or Milk
- Chocolate Sprinkles or any sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for about 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing for 1 more minute until well incorporated.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined, being careful not to over-mix. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them at least two inches apart.
- Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes until soft. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter for 1-2 minutes. Add cocoa powder, powdered sugar, light corn syrup, and heavy cream or milk, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- Spread frosting on cooled cookies and top with sprinkles if desired.
Notes
For best results, ensure butter is softened but not melted. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
