Description

Delicious and easy-to-make butterscotch chip cookies with crispy edges and soft, gooey centers, perfect for any snack or dessert occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter (softened)
  • 1 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 11-ounce package Butterscotch Chips
  • Sea Salt Flakes (optional, for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 385°F (195°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for about 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix for 1 minute, scraping the sides of the bowl halfway through.
  4. Fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Carefully fold in the butterscotch chips, reserving 1/4 cup to add on top after baking.
  6. Drop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  8. Immediately place the reserved butterscotch chips on top of each warm cookie and sprinkle sea salt if desired.
  9. Let the cookies set for 3-4 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack.
